L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-CG-E-24072026-274791 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 3754] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, JULY 16, 2026/ASHADHA 25, 1948 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (South East Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Bilaspur, the 10th July, 2026 Notification Under Section 20E of The Railway Act 1989 S.O. 3917(E).— Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India,in the Ministry of Railways (South East Central Railway) number S.O. 5566(E), dated 3rd December, 2025, published in the Gazette of India (Extra- Ordinary) Part-II section 3 sub section (ii), (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) and issued under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution of Special Railway Project, namely “Sardega – Bhalumuda New Double Line (37.24 KM) of South East Central Railway"in the state of Odisha excluding villages of Gopalpur and Ratansara. And, whereas, the substance of the said notification no. 5378, dated 3rd December, 2025, was published in the daily newspapers, Sambad (Odia) Rourkela edition on 05.12.2025, The Samaja (Odia) Rourkela edition on 06.12.2025, Utkal Mail (Hindi) Rourkela edition on 11.12.2025and The Times of India (English) Bhubaneswar edition on 11.12.2025, under sub-section (4) of Section 20A of the said Act; And whereas, objections were received within the set time period and disposed off by the Competent Authority under section 20D of the said act; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 20E of the said Act, the Competent Authority has submitted her report to the Central Government; Now therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 20E of the said Act, 1989, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of Section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely with the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
