L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-CG-E-22042025-262585 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1776] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, APRIL 21, 2025/VAISHAKHA 01, 1947 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (South East Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Bilaspur, the 16th February, 2025 Notification under Section 20E of the Railway Act, 1989 S.O. 1809(E).― Whereas by the notification of the Government of India, In the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) number S.O. 559 (A), dated the 31 January 2025, published in the Gazzette of India (Extra- Ordinary) Part-II section 3 sub section (ii), hereinafter referred toas the said notification) under subsection (1) of 20A of the railway act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for execution of Special Railway Project, namely for Up-gradation of existing 1x25KV Traction System to 2x25KV OHE with AT feeder arrangement between Jharsugda-Raigarh, Raigarh-Champa, Champa-Bilaspur, Tilda-Bilaspur, Tilda-Durg, Mundikota-Nagpur, Bilaspur-Pendra Road-Anuppur & Raipur-Lakholi sections over SEC Railway to meet 3000MT loading target in the state of Chhattisgarh over SEC railway. And, whereas the substance of the said notification 20 A was published as per section 20A sub section (4) in the daily Newspapers Navbharat (Hindi), Dainik Bhaskar (Hindi), Bilaspur Edition on. 15.02.2025 and Times of India (English) Raipur Edition on 15.02.2025. and whereas, No objections were received within the set time period and disposed of by the Competent Authority under section 20D of the said Act; and, whereas, in pursuance of subsection (1) of section 20E of the said act, the Competent Authority has submitted his report to the central Government. Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of the section 20E of the said act 1989, the central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; and, further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all Encumbrances.
