The Ministry of Railways (South East Central Railway) issued Notification S.O. 2347(E) on May 7, 2026, from Bilaspur, declaring the Central Government's intention to acquire land for a public purpose. This action is taken under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), for the execution of a Special Railway Project: the construction of the 'Kharsia-Naya Raipur-Parmalkasa 5th and 6th Line of South East Central Railway', which spans 278 Km in the state of Chhattisgarh. Any person interested in the said land may raise objections within 30 days from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette, as per sub-section (1) of section 20D of the Railways Act. Objections must be made in writing to the Competent Authority, identified as the Sub Divisional officer (Revenue), Abhanpur, Dist.- Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The Competent Authority will provide an opportunity for a hearing and its order, made under sub-section (2) of section 20D, shall be final. Land plans and other details are available for inspection at the office of the Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA). The annexed schedule describes land parcels, including those in Abhanpur Palaud and Abhanpur Girhola, with a total area of 9.9290 Hectares specified for a portion of the listed parcels.

Any person interested in the said land may within a period of 30 days from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette raise objection to the acquisition of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub - section(1) of section 20D of the said Act. Every objection shall be made to the Competent Authority namely Sub Div isional officer (Revenue), Abhanpur, Dist. - Raipur, Chhattisgarh, in writing and shall set out grounds thereof and the competent Authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or through a legal practitioner and may, afte r hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the Competent Authority thinks necessary by order either allow or disallow the objections. Any order made by the Competent Authority under sub -section (2) of section 20D of the said act shall be final.
