NOTIFICATION
Bilaspur, the 26th June, 2025
NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 20E of THE RAILWAY ACT 1989
S.O. 2876(E). - Whereas by the notification of the Government of India, In the Ministry of Railways
(Railway Board) number 4573, dated the 2nd November 2023, published in the Gazette of India (Extra-Ordinary)
Part-II section 3 sub section (ii), hereinafter referred to as the said notification) under subsection (1) of 20A of the
railway act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the central Government declared its intention to
acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for execution of Special Railway Project,
namely 3rd & 4th Railway line between Saragbundia and Madwarani of South East Central Railway (2x6.1 Km)
in the state of Chhattisgarh.
And, whereas, the substance of the said notification Number 701, dated the 11th February, 2025, was published
in the daily newspapers, Mitan (Hindi) Korba edition, Korba Balco Times (Hindi) Korba edition and Nai Duniya (Hindi)
Bilaspur edition on 02.03.2025 under sub-section (4) of Section 20A of the said Act;
And whereas, only 13 (Two) Objections were received within the set time period and considered and disposed
off by the competent authority under section 20D of the said act;
And, whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 20E of the said Act, the Competent Authority has
submitted his report to the Central Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority, and in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section 1) of Section 20E of the said Act, 1989, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands
specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And, further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of Section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto
shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
