The intention to acquire land was published in local newspapers, including The Times of India (English), on June 19, 2025, under sub-section (4) of section 20A. No objections were received or were considered/disallowed by the competent authority. The acquired land, detailed in the annexed Schedule, totals 0.0925 Hectares in Banadag village, Tehsil Katkamdag, comprising Raiyati Upland plots, and will vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-BR-E-13032026-270922 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1244] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 2026/PHALGUNA 21, 1947 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (East Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Patna, the 27th February, 2026 S.O. 1301(E). - Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), notification S.O. 2517 (E), dated the 05 May, 2025 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) under sub section (1) of section 20(A) of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said act), the Central Government, declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for the propose execution, maintenance, management and operation of the Special Railway Project “Hazaribag-Banadag Doubling (6 Km)" as Special Railway Project in the State of Jharkhand." And, whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local newspapers, namely, Prabhat Khabar (Hindi) The Times of India (English), dated the 19th June, 2025 under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act, And, whereas, no objections was received and the same have been considered/disallowed by the competent authority accordingly orders have been passed; And, whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government. Now, therefore, upon receipt of the report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose. And, further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
