L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-BR-E-11112024-258568 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4488] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2024/KARTIKA 20, 1946 7251 GI/2024 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (East Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Patna, the 3rd November, 2024 S.O. 4869(E). —Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (East Central Railway), number S.O. 1195 (E), dated the 09 March, 2024 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-ii, section 3, Sub-section (2), dated the 09 March, 2024 and issued under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (here in after referred as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purposed of execution, maintenance, management and operation of the Special Railway Projects namely, “Jhajha & Batia (20 Km), Rail Project" in Jamui District in the state of Bihar. And whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local newspaper, namely, Times of India (Patna Edition) of dated 22 March, 2024, Dainik Jagran (Bhagalpur Edition) of dated 23 March, 2024 and Prabhat Khabar (Patna Edition) of dated 23 March, 2024 under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act; And whereas, objection were received; Competent Authority has heard the objections and orders have been passed in terms of section 20 D of the said act; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Competent Authority has submitted its report to the Central Government. Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose. And further, in the pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Govt. Hereby declares that on publication of the notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall abslutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
