NOTIFICA TION
New Delhi, the 27th March, 2024
No. 23/Rules/DHC .— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 7 of the Delhi High Court Act, 1966
(Act 26 o f 1966) and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the High Court of Delhi, hereby makes the following
amendment in Part A(a) of Chapter 1 of Volume V of Delhi High Court Rules & Orders: -
The following shall be substituted for the existing Rule 2 (b ) of Part A(a) of Chapter 1 of Volume V of Delhi
High Court Rules & Orders : -
“2(b) Every memorandum of appeal shall be accompanied by a copy of the judgment, as prescribed by
Order XLI, Rule 1 of the Civil Procedure Code. In the case of Second Appeals, i n addition to the
documents prescribed by Order XLI, Rule 1 of the Code, memorandum shall be accompanied by a
copy of the judgment of the Court of First instance unless the appellate Court dispenses therewith. In
all cases which are within the competence o f Division Bench motion. Duplication type written copies of
memorandum of appeal or revision and other essential documents shall be furnished by the appellant
or applicant, as the case may be, both in Civil and Criminal cases.”
NOTE: THIS AMENDMENT SHALL COME INTO FORCE FROM THE DATE OF ITS PUBLICATION IN
THE GAZETTE.
