Detailed Summary

The Central Government, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 253 of the New Delhi Municipal Council Act, 1994 (44 of 1994), has constituted an Appellate Tribunal. This Tribunal is established for the purpose of deciding appeals preferred under section 247 and section 254 of the said Act, operating within the territorial limits of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Shri Amit Kumar, an officer of the Delhi Higher Judicial Service, has been appointed as the Presiding Officer of this Tribunal, with effect from the date of publication of this notification, which is November 27, 2025.
