Acting under Section 20 of the Punjab Courts Act, 1918, as applicable in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, the Lt. Governor of Delhi, upon the recommendation of the High Court of Delhi, appointed four officers of the Delhi Higher Judicial Service as Principal District Judges. Specifically, Mr. Pawan Kumar Jain and Dr. Aditi Choudhary were appointed as Principal District Judges on a regular basis, effective from their respective dates of taking over. Mr. Bharat Parashar was appointed on a proforma basis, effective from the date his junior takes over, and Mr. Prem Kumar Barthwal was appointed under the next below rule, also effective from his date of taking over. The order was issued by Reetesh Singh, Principal Secretary, in the name of the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
