No. 23/3/Protem/2025/LAS-VIII/Legn./1086.—The following Order dated 21 February, 2025 of the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor, Delhi, is hereby published for general information:- “ORDER WHEREAS the office of the Speaker will fall vacant immediately before the commencement of the first meeting of the Eighth Assembly of the Legislative Assembly of National Capital Territory of Delhi on 24th February, 2025 and the Office of the Deputy Speaker has already fallen vacant. Now, therefore, I hereby appoint Shri Arvinder Singh Lovely, a Member of the newly elected Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi to perform the duties of the Office of the Speaker from the commencement of the said meeting and until the new Speaker is elected. I also hereby appoint Shri Arvinder Singh Lovely to be the person before whom Members of the newly elected Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall make and subscribe oath or affirmation in accordance with the provisions of section 12 of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991.
