F. No. 61(2033)/Appointment of CWC's & JJB's/DD (CPU)/DWCD/2023/821-52.—In exercise of the
powers conferred by sub-sections (1) (2) & (6) of section 27 read with sub-section 59 of Section 2 of the Juvenile
Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and with the approval of the Hon'ble President accorded under
Section 45 (D) of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991 (amended in 2023) conveyed by
Ministry of Home Affairs' letter No 14011/23/2024-Delhi-l dated 05.04.2025, the Hon'ble Lt. Governor, GNCTD
hereby makes the following appointment for the posts of Chairperson in Child Welfare Committee with immediate
effect :-

The aforesaid Chairperson of Child Welfare Committees shall exercise the powers and discharge their duties
conferred on such Committees in relation to children in need of care and protection in accordance with the Juvenile
Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Model
Rules, 2016 in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The duration of their appointment will be for a period of three
years w.e.f the date of this notification.
