No. 1/6/2024/HP-I/Estt./427 to 435.— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 176 of The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Act 46 of 2023) read with Government of India Ministry of Home Affairs, Notification No. S.O. 2506(E) dated 28.06.2024, the Lieutenant Governor of NCT of Delhi hereby declares that with effect from 28/02/2025, the officer in-charge of a police station shall, on receipt of every information relating to the commission of an offence which is made punishable for seven years or more, cause the forensic expert to visit the crime scene to collect forensic evidence in the offence and also cause videography of the process on mobile phone or any other electronic device.
