No. 133 PART IV GOVERNMENT OF THE NATIONAL CAPITAL TERRITORY OF DELHI HOME (HOME GUARD) DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATION Delhi, the 31st July, 2024 No. F. 1/03/2022/HG/1695-1707- In exercise of powers conferred by section 8 of the Bombay Home Guards Act, 1947, as extended to National Capital Territory of Delhi, the Lt. Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi, hereby makes the following rules to further amend the Delhi Home Guards Rules, 1959, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement- (1) These rules may be called the Delhi Home Guards (Second Amendment), Rules, 2024. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette. 2. Amendment of rule 8. In the Delhi Home Guards Rules, 1959, in Rule 8, after the fourteenth proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:- "Provided also that the tenure of existing Home Guard Volunteers on roll as on 31st July, 2024(and due for discharge between the period 31st July, 2024 to 31st January, 2025) may be extended upto 31st January, 2025 or till the time fresh enrolment takes place, whichever is earlier subject to satisfactory service records, general conduct as Home Guards during the tenure and also subject to physical fitness and age limit as prescribed in the Rules”.
