L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-WB-E-29062024-255035 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2365] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, JUNE 28, 2024/ASHADHA 7, 1946 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [South Eastern Railway (Construction Organization)] NOTIFICATION Kolkata, the 28th June, 2024 S.O. 2490(E).— Whereas, by the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (South Eastern Railway/Construction Organization), number S.O.5410(E), dated the 21st December, 2023 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated 21st December, 2023 and issued under sub section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989)(herein after referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, decided its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the notification number S.O.5410(E), dated the 21st December, 2023 for execution, maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely Dumetra Link-C line connection with Bisra station (2.3 Km.) doubling in the district of Sundargarh in the State of Odisha. And, whereas, the substance of notification number 5410(E), dated the 21st December, 2023 was published in the daily newspapers, namely 'Sakal' (Odiya Edition), dated 15th January, 2024 and 'Navbharat' (Hindi Edition), dated 16th January, 2024 under section (4) of section 20A of the said Act. And, whereas, three number of petitions/objections were received against notification number S.O.5410(E), dated the 21st December, 2023 and same have been considered and disallowed by the competent authority; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted the report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on the publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
