NOTIFICATION
Kolkata, the 13th March, 2025
S.O. 1216(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the ministry of the Railways, vide
no. S.O. 1613 (E) dated 28.03.2024 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, part II – section 3 – Sub-section (ii)
vide No. 1099 dated 04.04.2024 issue under sub-section (I) of section 20A of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008
(11 of 2008) (here in after referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land
specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification, is required for the purpose of execution, maintenance,
management and operation of the special Railway Project, namely, Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor, (now called
Multi tracking of Son Nagar – Andal), in the District of Dhanbad in the State of Jharkhand, hereby declares its
intention to acquire such land.
And whereas the Substance of the said notification has been published in the “Dainik Jagran(Hindi),” and “The
Times of India(English)" on 09.04.2024 under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act.
And whereas no objection has been received from any person by the competent authority
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government.
Now, therefore, upon receiving of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the power
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the said schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose
And further, in pursuance of Sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest
absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.

Brief Description land be acquired, with or without structure for the Special Railway Project namely, Eastern
Dedicated Freight Corridor, (now called Multi tracking of Son Nagar – Andal) in the state of Jharkhand.
