The Ministry of Railways [Eastern Railway(Construction Department)], Kolkata, issued Notification S.O. 2052(E) on 6th May, 2025. In exercise of powers conferred by clause (37A) of Section 2 of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008, the Central Government hereby notifies the "3rd and 4th Line between Dankuni and Baltikuri" in Howrah Division as a Special Railway Project. This notification is for the purpose of acquisition of land in Howrah district in the State of West Bengal, to provide national infrastructure for a public purpose. The notification takes effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
