ORDER
Kolkata, the 1st November, 2025
S.O. 4999(E).— Hearing has been held on multiple dates, viz. 07.04.2025, and 02.06.2025. The
representatives from the Department as well as from the alleged jute mill company, i.e. The Barnagore Jute
Factory PLC. have placed their respective cases, along with necessary records and other documentary
evidences. I have heard at length, and perused all the documents and have examined all the evidences
which have been placed before me. Based on all the above, I am of the opinion that the allegations level
against the alleged mill company stands established.
ORDER:
Based on the facts of the case presented before me, it is ordered that the alleged jute mill company, i.e. The
Barnagore Jute Factory PLC. shall be debarred from supplying of B. Twill jute bags under PCSOs issued
by this office, to the extent of 30% of its entitlement for a period of six consecutive months.
This debarment order shall come into force after 30 days henceforth the publication of this order in the
official gazette.
Meanwhile, the alleged jute mill company shall be at liberty to appeal before the competent appellate
authority in terms of the Jute & Jute Textile Control Order- 2016. Let this ROP be circulated to concerned
parties' by the department forthwith.
Matter stands disposed.
