S.O. 5296 (E) dated 11.12.2023 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, part II – section 3 – Sub-section (ii) vide No. 1099 dated 11.03.2022 issue under sub-section (I) of section 20A of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008) (here in after referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification, is required for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of the special Railway Project, namely, " Construction/Rebuilding of Bridge no – 17/A (Jalangi Bridge)”, between Krishnanagar & Bahadurpur station of Krishnanagar – Lalgola section in Sealdah Division, in the District of Nadia in the State of West Bengal. And whereas the Substance of the said notification has been published in the "Anandabazar Patrika," "Statesman Patrika” and “Sanmarg Patrika" on 04.01.2024 under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act. And whereas no objection has been received from any person by the competent authority And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government. Now, therefore, upon receiving of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose And further, in pursuance of Sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
