Detailed Summary

Notification S.O. 2302(E) issued by the Ministry of Railways (North Central Railway, Construction Department) on May 21, 2025, declares the acquisition of land for the Special Railway Project, “Mathura Jn. – Yard Remodeling and Flyover at Bhuteshwar” in District Mathura, State of Uttar Pradesh. This declaration is made in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 20E of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) & Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008), following an initial intention declaration under sub-section (1) of Section 20A. The substance of the intention notification was published in daily newspapers "Amar Ujala" and "The Times of India" on January 30, 2025, under sub-section (4) of Section 20A. Objections were received in Maura village, and the competent Authority passed orders accordingly and submitted a report to the Central Government under sub-section 20E. Upon receipt of this report and publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the annexed schedule shall be acquired and vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances, as per sub-section (2) of section 20E. The schedule lists 19 plots, primarily private agriculture land in Maura village, Tehsil Sadar, District Mathura, totaling 8.1086 hectares, including plot 262 which is listed as Common (Government/Private) Agriculture/Non-agriculture land belonging to School Farm.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-UP-E-24052025-263362 No. 2248] EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, MAY 23, 2025/JYAISTHA 02, 1947 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [North Central Railway(Contruction Department)] NOTIFICATION Prayagraj, the 21st May, 2025 S.O. 2302(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub – section (1) of Section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) & Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government after being satisfied that for the public purpose the land the brief description of which has been given in schedule annexed hereto, is required for purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of the Special Railway Project namely, “Mathura Jn. – Yard Remodeling and Flyover at Bhuteshwar" in District Mathura in the state of Uttar Pradesh hereby declares its intention to acquire such land. Any whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely "Amar Ujala" and "The Times of India" dated 30.01.2025 under sub section (4) of Section 20A of the said ACT. Any whereas, in Maura village objections were received and competent Authority have passed the orders accordingly; Any whereas, in pursuance of sub section 20E of the said Act, the competent Authority has submitted its report to the Central Government. Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
