NOTIFICATION
Secunderabad, the 8th September, 2023
S.O. 4069(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of I ndia, in the Ministry of Railways
(Railway Board), number, S.O 1873 (E) dated the 25th April 2023 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II,
section 3 Sub -section(ii), dated the 25th April 2023 (herein after referred to as the said notification ) and issued under
sub-section(1) of section 20(A) of the Railway Act, 1989(24 of 1989) and Railway (amendment) Act 2008 (11 of 2008)
(herein after referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declares its intention to acquire the land speci fied in
the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of
Special Railway Project, namely Khandwa Akola Gauge Conversion (MG to BG) in the State of Madhya Pradesh.
And whereas, the substanc e of the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely “Dainik
Bhaskar(Hindi)” & “Patrika (Hindi)” on 5th May 2023 by Hemant Kumar Bhagoria, Chief Engineer -V, Construction
Organization Secunderabad under sub section(4) of section 20A of the sa id Act;
And whereas, for Khaknar, Pandhari, Chidiyamal, Mohangarh, Pangari, Rangai, Khadki, Kardali, Sawa li and
Tukaithad villages of Burhanpur District , 108 objections received to the Sub Divisional Magistrate (Revenue) and
Competent Authority, Nepanagar( M.P.); Which have been disposed of by filing case.
And whereas, in pursuance of sub -section (1) of 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its
report to the Central Government;
Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred
by sub -section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the
schedule annexed here to shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, i n pursuance of sub -section(2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed here to
shall vest absolutely in the Central G overnment free from all encumbrances.
But the Deputy Chief Engineer (Construction) of South Central Railway, Akola has sent a letter dated
25/08/2023 informed that after joint site inspection, variations were found and partial amendment is required as
per the proposal sent earlier on 14/02/2023 in villages Kardali, Khadki, Rangai, Pangari, Tukaithad and Sawali .
Notification 20E published in the Gazette of India dated 25/08/2023 and two local newspapers Dainik Bhaskar
and Patrika Indore on 30/08/2023, the No tification 20E shall be read and understood as follows –
REVISED SCHEDULE
– “ Khandwa Akola Gauge Conversion (MG to BG)” in, Khadki, Rangai, Pangari, Tukaithad and Sawali
villages of Burhanpur District under Sub Divisional Magistrate and Competent Author ity, Nepanagar(M.P.);
for Land Acquisition Burhanpur District in the State of Madhya Pradesh. Brief description of the land to be
acquired, with or without structures, falling within the Special Railway Project.
