W.Con.153/N/95/AK -/20E/270923 ] MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (South Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Secunderabad , the 2 7th September , 2023 S.O. 4262(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), number, S.O 1793 (E) dated the 20th April 2023 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3 Sub -section(ii), dated the 20th April 2023 (here in after referred to as the said notification) and issued under sub -section(1) of section 20(A) of the Railway Act, 1989(24 of 1989) and Railway (amendment) Act 2008 (11 of 2008) (here in after referred to as the said Act), the Central Governmen t declares its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of exe cution, maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely Khandwa Akola Gauge Conversion (MG to BG) in the State of Maharashtra. And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely “Dainik Bhaskar (Hindi) and Lokmat (Hindi) ” on 25th April 2023 by Hemant Kumar Bhagoria, Chief Engineer -V, Construction Organization Secunder abad under sub section(4) of section 20A of the said Act; And whereas, for Jogban, Wadali Satwai, Katkhed, Gyajudin Nagar, Daudpur, Adgaon Khurd and Kemlapur villages of Akola District , 43 objections received to the Sub Divisional Magistrate (Revenue) and Competent Authority, Akot (M.H.); Which have been disposed of by filing case. And whereas, in pursuance of sub -section (1) of 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Governme nt; Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of th e powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed her eto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub -section (2) o f section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government here by declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in th e schedule annexed here to shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumb rances.
