L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-RJ-E-10082026-275337 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4190] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, AUGUST 7, 2026/SHRAVAN 16, 1948 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [North Western Railway (Construction Organization)] NOTIFICATION Jaipur, the 6th August, 2026 S.O. 4366(E).— Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways (North Western Railway, Construction organization), Notification number, S.O. 2784(E) dated 01st June, 2026 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3 Sub-section (ii), dated the 01st June, 2026 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) and issued under sub- section (1) of Section 20A of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of "Luni-Samdari-Bhildi Doubling Railway Project (Special Rail Project)" in Deesa Taluka, District Banaskantha in the State of Gujarat. And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely "Gujarat Samachar" and "Sandesh" dated 06th June, 2026, and "Times of India" dated 10th June, 2026 under sub-section (4) of Section 20A of the said Act; And whereas, in respect of the surveys numbers of the villages specified in the schedule annexed to this Notification, no objections were received by the competent authority within the prescribed period. And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of Section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
