L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-RJ-E-02062026-273061 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2691] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2026/JYAISHTHA 11, 1948 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [North Western Railway (Construction Organization)] NOTIFICATION Jaipur, the 1st June, 2026 S.O. 2784(E).—Whereas by notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways published in the Gazette of India dated the 10th October, 2025, under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), the intention of the Central Government to acquire certain lands for the public purpose of construction of Luni-Samdari-Bhildi Doubling Railway Project (Special Railway Project) in District Banaskantha in the State of Gujarat was declared; And whereas during the course of Joint Measurement Survey (JMS) and verification by the District Inspector of Land Records (DILR), it has been observed that certain survey numbers situated in Deesa Taluka, District Banaskantha, Gujarat, required for the said project were not included in the aforesaid notification and additional land is required in some of the already notified survey numbers. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989, the Central Government hereby declares its intention to acquire the lands specified in the Schedule below for the said public purpose. Any person interested in the land may, within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, file objections, if any, to the Competent Authority, namely Sub Divisional magistrate/Prant Officer Deesa, District Banaskantha, Gujarat in writing, as provided under sub-section (1) of section 20D of the said Act. The land plans and other details of the land covered under this notification are available and can be inspected by the interested person at the aforesaid office of the competent authority.
