G197/2023/GOM/SUR -UMD/20E/Addendum ] MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 21st December , 2023 S.O. 5413 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of Section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and Railway (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 200 8) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied that for the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which has been given in schedule annexed hereto, is required for purpose of execution, maintenance, man agement and operation of Special Railway Project, namely Solapur - Osmanabad via Tuljapur New BG Line in Osmanabad Taluka in the State of Maharashtra, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land. And whereas, in Shingoli and Shekapur , Dharur village no objections were received and the competent Authority have passed the orders accordingly; And whereas, in pursuance of sub -section 20 E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now therefore, upon recei pt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub -section (2) of section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto sha ll vest absolutely in the Central government free from all encumbrances.
