G 197/2023/GOM/KYN -BUD/20E] MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Mumbai , the 16th November , 2023 S.O. 4980(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board ), number S.O 4848 (E), dated 13th December, 2021 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section - 3, Sub - Section (ii), dated the 13th December, 2021 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) and issued under sub-section (1) of section 20 A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for execution, maintenance, management and operation of a Special Railway Project namel y, “Kalyan and Badlapur 3rd & 4th Line under MUTP III A” in Tahsil Ulhasnagar, District - Thane in the state of Maharashtra. And whereas, under sub -section (4) of section 20 A of the said Act, the substance of said notification has been published in the d aily local newspapers namely , “The Free Press Journal” (English), dated 02nd June 2023 and “LOKMAT” (Marathi) dated 02nd June 2023 and whereas objections have been received under section 20(D) and the same have been considered/disposed/disallowed by the Co mpetent Authority. Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Central Authority, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub – section (1) of the section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub -section (2) of section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, th e land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
