Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Railways (Central Railway), vide Notification S.O. 3745(E) dated August 11, 2025, and published on August 14, 2025, notifies, in exercise of powers conferred by clause (37A) of Section 2 of The Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and under clause 37A of the Railway (Amendment) Act 2008, three specific railway projects. These projects involve the acquisition of land in Nashik District, Maharashtra, for providing national infrastructure for a public purpose, effective from the date of publication of this notification. The projects include: (i) Kherwadi Railway station development of circulating area of Goods shed in the UP direction for holding passengers during Kumbh Mela traffic in 2027; (ii) Devlali - Provision of C&W examination and stabling facilities for Kumbh Mela 2027; and (iii) Odha station - Provision of stabling lines for handling Kumbh Mela traffic in 2027.
