The original intention to acquire this land was published in Gazette notification S.O. 3418 on 3rd September 2024, after being initially notified on 30th August 2024 under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the said Act. The substance of the notification was published in local newspapers. Objections were received and heard by the Competent Authority, and orders were passed in terms of section 20D of the said Act. In pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, upon publication of this notification, the land specified in the annexed Schedule vests absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.

Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Central Railway) number S.O. 3418, dated the 3rd September 2024 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-ii, section-3, Sub-section (ii), dated 30th August 2024 and issued under sub section (I) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (here in after referred as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation od the Special Railway Project namely “Linear connection of proposed GCT with Lonavala BVT yard under Gati Shakti Units", in Taluka Maval, District Pune" in the State of Maharshatra. And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in the dialy local newspapers, namely, Danik Dayitva under sub section(4) of section 20A of the said Act; And whereas, objections were received; Competent Authority has heard the objections and orders have been passed in terms of section 20D of the said act; And whereas, in pursuance of sub section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Competent Autority has submitted its reports to the Central Government. Now therefore, ipon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the Schedule aneexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose. And further, in the pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Govtenment here by declares that on publication of the notification in the Official Gazette, the land spectified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall ves absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
