L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-MH-E-17012024-251397 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 182] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 17, 2024/PAUSHA 27, 1945 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY [PART II-SEC. 3(ii)] MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 17th January, 2024 S.O. 191(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), number S.O 3745 (E), dated 4th September, 2023 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub- Section (ii), (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) and issued under sub-section (1) of section 20 A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for execution, maintenance, management and operation of a Special Railway Project namely, “Airoli-Kalwa elevated corridor project under MUTP-III” in Tahsil & District- Thane in the State of Maharashtra. And whereas, under sub-section (4) of section 20 A of the said Act, the substance of said notification has been published in the daily local newspapers namely, “The Free Press Journal” (English), dated 08th November, 2023 and "LOKMAT" (Marathi) dated 08th November, 2023 and whereas objections have been received under section 20(D) and the same have been considered/disposed/disallowed by the Competent Authority. Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Central Authority, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub – section (1) of the section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
