Notification under clause 20E of section 2 of the Railway Act 1989 24 of 1989 for land to be acquired in connection with Special Railway Project namely Gauge Conversion Project of Ratlam Indore Ambedekar Nagar Khandwa

No. E 297205-25] DHEERAJ KUMAR, Chief Engineer (Construction)-IV MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [Western Railway (Construction Department)] NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 4th May, 2024 S.O. 1905(E).—Whereas by the Notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), number S.O. 3779 (E), dated 23th August, 2023 published in Gazette of India Extraordinary. Part II, section-3, Sub-section (ii), of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (here in after referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, has declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule- Annexed to the said notification for execution, maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely, Ratlam-Indore -Dr. Ambedkar Nagar - Khandwa Gauge Conversion Project in the State of Madhya Pradesh. And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily “Free press Journal" dated 26th August, 2023 and "Nai Duniya" & "Dainik Bhaskar" dated 26th August, 2023 under sub-section (4) of Section 20A of the said Act. And, where as, Nil objection has been received by the competent authority. And, whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 20(E) of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority, and in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 20(E) of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the Schedule annexed here to shall be acquired for the afore said purpose. And, further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of Section 20 (E) of the said Act, the Central Government here by declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed here to shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
