G197/2023/GOM/DD -MMR/OCT/2Villages/20E -II] MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 4th October, 2023 S.O. 4356 (E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of Section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and Railway (Amendment ) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied that for the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which has been given in schedule annexed hereto, is required for purpose of ex ecution, maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely “ Daund – Manmad doubling project ” in the District of Ahmednagar in the State of Maharashtra, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land. And whereas, the substance o f the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely “ Loksatta ” and “ Nagar Times ” Dated 01st Aug. 2023 under sub section (4) of section 20A of the said Act; And whereas, in Tandulwadi village no objections were received and competent Authority have passed the orders accordingly; And whereas, in pursuance of sub -section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exer cise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further , in pursuance of sub -section (2) of section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central government free fro m all encumbrances.
