The Ministry of Railways (South Western Railway, Construction Organisation) issued Notification S.O. 4246(E) on September 19, 2025, published in the Gazette on September 22, 2025. In exercise of powers under sub-section (1) of Section 20E of the Railway Act 1989, the Central Government, after reviewing the report from the Competent Authority and Special Land Acquisition Officer, Tumakuru, declares the acquisition of lands previously notified under S.O. 2203(E) dated 15.05.20258 under sub-section (1) of Section 20A of the Act. These lands are required for the Special Railway Project to construct a Road Over Bridge (ROB) in lieu of Level Crossing (LC) 35. Interested persons may raise objections to the acquisition within thirty days from the notification's publication date under sub-section (1) of Section 20D of the Act. Objections must be submitted in writing to the Competent Authority and Special Land Acquisition Officer for the Tumakuru-Rayadurga and Tumakuru-Davanagere Railway project, Tumakuru, for LC No. 35. The Competent Authority issued 20D Notices, provided a 30-day objection period, and conducted a hearing on July 25, 2025, where objections were cleared by the SLAO/CA, and the land extent was revised as per the CA report for the LHS Portion alignment modified towards Basavapattanna Village to construct a Limited Height Subway. Any order made by the Competent Authority under sub-section (2) of Section 20D of the Act is final. Land plans and details are available for inspection at the Competent Authority's office. The acquired lands are located in Tumakuru District, Urdigere Hobli, across the villages of Thimlapura, Kyathsandra, and Basavapattana, totaling 1-31 3/4 Acres-Guntas plus 43 Sq.Ft. Consent letters for the Limited Height Sub Way construction were received on July 24, 2025, from landowners in Sy No. 3/1 and Sy No. 3/3 of Thimlapura village.

O. 2203(E) dated 15.05.20258 under sub-section(1) of section 20A of the act, shall be acquired for executing the Special railway project, construction of ROB on lieu pof LC 35. Any person interested in the said land may, within Thirty days from the date of publication of this notification in the official Gazette, raise objection to the acquisition and use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub-section(1) of Section 20D of the said Act: Every such objection shall be made to the Competent Authority and Special Land Acquisition Officer, Tumakuru-Rayadurga and Tumakuru-Davanagere Railway project, Tumakuru for LC No. 35 in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof and the competent authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or by a legal practitioner, and may, after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the competent authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections: The Competent authority issued 20D Notice to land owners and provided 30 days period for objections and the hearing conducted on 25.07.2025. Hearing of Objections received by the land owners is done and objections are cleared by SLAO/CA and revised the extent as per CA report for LHS Portion alignment modified towards Basavapattanna Village and land extent considered for construction of Limited Height Subway. Any order made by the competent authority under sub-section (2) of Section 20 D of the said Act shall be final: The land plans and other details of the land covered under this notification are available and can be inspected by the interested person at the aforesaid Office of the Competent Authority.
