The rules authorize the Mint to coin a twenty-five rupee denomination coin, circular in shape with an outside diameter of 44 millimeters, 200 serrations, composed of pure silver (99.9 per cent), with the design specified in the First Schedule: the obverse bears the Lion Capitol of the Ashoka Pillar with the legend "Satyameva Jayate", "Bharat" in Devnagari script and "INDIA" in English, plus the Rupee symbol and the denominational value "25"; the reverse depicts Shri Harakhchand Nahata with the inscription "25TH COMMEMORATION OF SHRI HARAKHCHAND NAHATA" and the years 1936, 1999 and 2024. The Second Schedule fixes the standard weight at 40 grams, with a silver content tolerance of 999 parts per 1000 and a permissible weight variance (remedy) of 1/8000th, i.e. 39.995 to 40.005 grams. Short title and commencement . - (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Issue of Commemorativ e Coin on the occasion of 25th Commemoration of Shri Harakhchand Nahata ) Rules, 2024. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Denomination of coin . - The coin of twenty five rupees denomination shall onl y be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate on the occasion of 25th Commemoration of Shri Harakhchand Nahata. 3. Dimension and composition of coin . - The denomination of the coin mentioned in rule 2 shall conform to the following dimensions and composition, namely: - Denomination of coin Shape and outside diameter Number of serrations Metal composition (1) (2) (3) (4) Twenty five Rupees Circular 44 millimeter 200 Pure Silver Silver - 99.9 per cent. 4. Design .- The design of the coin shall be as specified in the First Schedule to these rules. 5. Standard weight and remedy allowed .- The standard weight of the coin of above denomination referred in rule 2 shall be coined to commemorate the occasion of 25th Commemoration of Shri Harakhchand Nahata and the remedy allowed in making of such coin shall be as specified in the Second Schedul e annexed to these rules. THE FIRST SCHEDULE [See rule 4 ] TWENTY FIVE RUPEES OBVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend “सत्यमेि ियते” inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word “भारत” in Devnagari script and on the right periphery with the word “INDIA ” in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol “ ₹” and denominational value “ 25” in the international numerals below the Lion Capitol. REVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the image of Shri Harakhchand Nahata in the centre of the coin . The inscription inscription “ 25TH COMMEMORATION OF SHRI HARAKHCHAND NAHATA ” in English shall be depicted on the lower periphery of the coin. The year “ 1936 ”, “1999 ” and “ 2024 ” shall be written on the left side, the right side and the down side of the image of Shri Harakhchand Nahata in international numbers respectively. THE SECOND SCHEDULE [See rule 5] Denomination of coin Standard weight Remedy allowed In composition In standard weight (1) (2) (3) (4) Twenty five Rupees 40 Grams 999 parts of silver per 1000. The tolerance for Silver content shall be 999 and above. 1/8000th plus or minus that is to say weight could be 39.995 grams to 40.005 grams. [F.
