In exercise of the powers conferred by the third proviso to First Schedule of the Code on Social Security, 2020 (36 of 2020), the Central Government hereby notifies the 1st day of April, 2026, as the date on and from which the contribution from the employers and employees of establishments in the entire areas of the West Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills, Eastern West Khasi Hills and East Jaintia Hills in the State of Meghalaya shall be payable under section 29 and any benefits under Chapter IV relating to the Employees State Insurance Corporation are provided by the Corporation to the employees of such establishments.
