The Ministry of Labour and Employment, through Notification S.O. 4711(E) issued on 25th August, 2026, has exercised the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 26 of the Code on Wages, 2019 (29 of 2019) to determine that every employee drawing wages not exceeding twenty-one thousand rupees per mensum shall be paid bonus as specified in the said sub-section. This notification, signed by Deepika Kachhal, Jt. Secy., is deemed to have come into force on the 21st day of November, 2025.
