The Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, Financial Market Division, issued Notification S.O. 6100(E) on 30th December, 2025, formally appointing Shri N. Venkatram, who serves as Country Chair for CDPQ India and CDPQ Global, as a Part-Time Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). This appointment by the Central Government is made under the authority granted by clause (d) of Sub-Section (1) of Section 4 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), in conjunction with Rule 19A of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairman and Members) Rules, 1992. The tenure for Shri N. Venkatram is set for a period of three years from the date he assumes charge of the post, or until he reaches the age of seventy years, or until further orders, whichever event occurs earliest.
