These rules, made in exercise of powers conferred by clauses (d) and (e) of sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Coinage Act, 2011 (11 of 2011), establish the parameters for a one hundred fifty rupees commemorative coin. The coin will be circular with a 44-millimeter diameter, have 200 serrations, and be composed of Pure Silver (99.9% Silver). Its standard weight is 40 Grams, with a remedy allowed in composition of 999 parts of silver per 1000 and a weight tolerance of 39.995 grams to 40.005 grams. The obverse design features the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar, 'INDIA', the Rupee symbol '₹', and the value '150'. The reverse design includes an image of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the years '1875–2025', and the inscription '150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SARDAR VALLABHBHAI PATEL'. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2.Denomination of coin.- The coin of one hundred fifty rupees denomination shall only be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate on the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. 3. Design.- The design of the coin shall be as specified in the First Schedule annexed to these rules. 5. Standard weight and remedy allowed.- The standard weight of the coin of denomination referred in rule 2 shall be coined to commemorate on the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and the remedy allowed in making of such coin shall be as specified in the Second Schedule annexed to these rules. THE FIRST SCHEDULE [See rule 4] ONE HUNDRED FIFTY RUPEES OBVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend "सत्यमेव जयते" inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word "भारत” in Devnagari script and on the right periphery with the word “INDIA” in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol "₹" and denominational value “150” in the international numerals below the Lion Capitol. REVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the image of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the center of the coin. The year 1875–2025 in the international numerals shall be inscribed below the image of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The text "सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल की 150 वीं जयंती" shall be inscribed in Devnagari script on the upper periphery of the coin and “150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SARDAR VALLABHBHAI PATEL" shall be inscribed in English on the lower periphery of the coin.
