L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-30082025-265827 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 4 PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 13] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, AUGUST 29, 2025/BHADRA 7, 1947 5773 GI/2025 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY MINISTRY OF DEFENCE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 29th August, 2025 S.R.O. 13(E)— Whereas, the Government of Maharashtra has vide its notification number TLC 2023/CR-37/M-10 dated the 15th October, 2023, altered the name of the existing district of Aurangabad to district of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar; And whereas, the Aurangabad Cantonment is located within the district of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar; And whereas, the Cantonment Board, Aurangabad has determined to alter the name of the existing Aurangabad Cantonment to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Cantonment; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 read with sub- section (1) of section 259 of the Cantonments Act, 2006 (41 of 2006), the Central Government, as determined by the Cantonment Board, Aurangabad, hereby declares the Aurangabad Cantonment to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Cantonment with effect from date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
