In pursuance of sub-regulations (1), (2), (3) and (4) of regulation 10 of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Labour and Employment number S.O. 3486(E), dated the 08th October, 2020, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section-3, Sub-Section (ii), dated the 8th October, 2020, the Central Government hereby constitutes the Board of Mining Examination (Coal) and appoints the following persons as members of the Board for a period of three years or till their successor is appointed whichever is later, from the date of publication of this notification, namely:- 1. Chief Inspector of Mines - Chairman; (Since designated as Director General of Mines Safety) - Ex-officio 2. Shri Shankar Nagachari, - Member; Director (Technical) (Engineering Services), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited, Ranchi, Jharkhand. 3. Shri Suresh Chandra Suman, - Member; Director (Mining), Neyveli Lignite corporation India Limited, Neyveli, Tamil Nadu. 4. Shri Jitendra Malik, - Member; Director (Technical/ Operation), Northern Coalfields Limited, Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. 5. Dr. C. Sawmliana, - Member; Chief Scientist, Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research, Dhanbad, Jharkhand. 6.
