L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-29052024-254431 EXTRAORDINARY PART I-Section 1 PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 144] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, MAY 29, 2024/JYAISHTHA 8, 1946 3285 GI/2024 LOK SABHA SECRETARIAT NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 29th May, 2024 No. 14/1/CI/2024. -The following paragraph published in the Lok Sabha Bulletin-Part II dated 22 May, 2024, is hereby published for general information:- "No. 8266 Committee Branch-I Amendment to the Directions by the Speaker, Lok Sabha (Ninth Edition) In pursuance of Rule 389 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha (Sixteenth Edition), the Speaker has issued the following new Direction which shall come into existence w.e.f. 21.05.2024:- "Digital Laying of Official Papers on the Table of the Lok Sabha 116A. (1) As per the established practice, copies of official papers to be laid on the Table of the Lok Sabha are received from Ministries/Departments in physical form, duly authenticated by the Minister concerned, bearing the place, date and the name of the signatory with designation. (2) However, the Ministries/Departments desiring to lay their papers in electronic form may submit digital copies (in PDF/A format) of official papers by electronic mode, in such manner as the Secretariat may specify, subject to the fulfillment of the conditions, if any, laid down by the Secretariat for receiving and authentication through electronic signature including digital signature of such papers to be laid on the Table. (3) For Ministries/Departments not opting for laying of papers on the Table in electronic form, the practice of receipt of physical authenticated copies of papers for laying purposes shall, however, continue."
