NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27 th October, 2023
G.S.R .799(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section of section 9A read with Clause (bc) of
subsection (2) of section 24 of the Coastal Aquaculture Author ity Act, 2005 (24 of 2005), the Central Government
hereby makes the following further amendment to the Coastal Aquaculture Authority Rules, 2005, namely: -
I. In the Coastal Aquaculture Authority Rules, 2005, in rule 4, for sub -rule (2), the following sub -rule shall be
substituted, namely -
“(2) The Secretary of the Authority shall be an officer not below the rank of Joint Secretary to Government of India
and shall be appointed on deputation by the Central Gove rnment through the Central Staffing Scheme by the
Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, initially for a period of three years, which may
be extended for a further period up to three years and the combined total tenure shall not exceed six years and in case
the officer on deputation as Secretary attains the age of superannuation while on deputation, his tenure as Secretary
shall be co -terminus with the date of superannuation.”
