L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-27092023-249004 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4057] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2023/ASVINA 4, 1945 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 26th September, 2023 S.O. 4225(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways, number S.O. 720(E), dated the 16th February 2023 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated 16th February 2023 and issued under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of the Special Railway Project, namely, Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor Project in the district Gurugram, in the State of Haryana; And whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local newspapers, namely, "The Times of India" dated the 23rd, February, 2023, and "Dainik Jagran" dated the 23rd, February, 2023 under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act; And whereas, No objection has been received. And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Competent Authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority, and in the exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
