NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 23rd July, 2026
S.O. 4057(E).—Whereas in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 7 of the National Highways Act,
1956 (48 of 1956), read with Rule 3 of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules,
2008 and amended from time to time, the Central Government vide notification S.O. 1807 (E) dated 07th June, 2017
has authorised the National Highways Authority of India to collect, either through its officials or through a contractor,
the fee for the use of two lane with paved shoulders section of the stretch from Km. 77.200 to Km. 154.929
(Thirumayam – Manamadurai Section) of National Highway No.226 (New NH 36) in the State of Tamil Nadu.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 7 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of
1956), read with Rule 3 of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008 and
amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby makes following amendment in the Notification bearing
S.O. 1807(E) dated 07th June, 2017(hereinafter referred to as the 'said notification'), published in the Gazette of India,
Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), namely:-
(i) In paragraph 3 of the said notification, the phrases "bypasses having a length of 21.809 km [excluding
300m of structure on bypass (having length more than 60m) with equivalent length of 3.000 km] at 90% of the base
rates specified in column (2) of Table-1 below for the use of Thirumayam – Manamadurai Section from km 77.200
(Existing Ch. km 72.185) to km 154.929 (Existing Ch. km 149.800) of National Highway number 226 in the State of
Tamil Nadu” shall be substituted with the following phrases: -
"bypasses having a length of 19.209 km [excluding 300m of structure on bypass (having length more than
60m) with equivalent length of 3.000 km] at 90% of the base rates specified in column (2) of Table-1 below
for the use of Thirumayam – Manamadurai Section from km 77.200 to km 102.450 & km 105.050 to km
154.929 of National Highway number 226 (New No. NH-36) in the State of Tamil Nadu"
(ii) In the said notification, for Sl. No. 1 and 2 after Table-1, the following shall be substituted, namely:-
1. The fee levied and collected hereunder shall be due and payable at the following Fee Plaza for net road
length specified for such Fee Plaza:

This amendment notification shall come into force immediately from the date & time of commencement of
user fee collection at Brahmanapatti Fee plaza at km 22.000 of Melur – Karaikudi Section of NH-338, 36 & 383.
