The Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA), vide Notification F. No. T-21032/1/2020-NIC (E) issued on 16th June, 2026, exercised powers under clause (p) of sub-section (2) of section 35 of the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007 (37 of 2007) read with sub-rule (1A) of rule 4 and clause (a) of rule 25 of the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses Rules 2017. This notification specifies new agricultural commodities, including Karchura (Curcuma zedoaria), Chia seeds, Mango Pulp, Roasted chicory powder, Kalonji (Nigella), and Mahua Flower, and non-agricultural commodities (other than metals) such as Di-ammonium Phosphate, Rock Phosphate, and Magnesium Sulphate, which must be stored in registered warehouses. All specified commodities must comply with qualitative specifications or standards set by AGMARK, Bureau of Indian Standards, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, or National Agriculture Market (eNAM); failing which, standards laid down by the Central Government, State Governments, or Governmental bodies shall apply. For chemical or allied laboratory analysis, AGMARK laboratories, accredited laboratories notified by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories, and laboratories recognized by the Bureau of Indian Standards, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, Central Government, or State Government are authorized.

The commodities specified in both the tables shall comply with the qualitative specifications or standards of the AGMARK or Bureau of Indian Standards or Food Safety and Standards Authority of India or National Agriculture Market (eNAM): Provided that in case, standards of AGMARK or Bureau of Indian Standards or Food Safety and Standards Authority of India or National Agriculture Market (eNAM) do not exist for these commodities, quality standards laid down by the Central Government or State Governments or Governmental bodies shall be applicable. 3. For the commodities requiring chemical or allied laboratory analysis, all AGMARK laboratories, all accredited laboratories notified by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories and laboratories recognized by the Bureau of Indian Standards, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, Central Government or the State Government laboratories and other laboratories recognised by them are authorised for laboratory testing.
