RESOULATION
New Delhi, the 27th May, 2024
No.S-16014/04/2022-LW(B) - In Exercise of the powers conferred by section – 5 of Contract Labour (Regulation and
Abolition) Act 1970. The Central Advisory Contract Labour Board hereby Constitute a committee to go into the
question of abolition of contract labours for Packing, loading and works incidental thereto in Chennai Airport The
Composition of the committee and its term of reference will be as under.

The term of reference of the Proposed committee would be as follows.
(1) To study the working of contact labour system in the job/works of Packing, loading and works incidental
thereto in Chennai Airport in respect of which abolition of Contract labours. System has been sought in W.P.
No. 10946 to 10961 of 2018, and W.P. No. 12855 to 12870 of 2018 and W.P. No. 5808, 5809, 5811 to 5817,
5819 to 5824 of 2019 and W.P. No. 27370 of 2021 in the Hon'ble High court of Madras.
(2) The committee has to make suitable recommendation whether or not employment of contract labour in
Job/works of Packing, loading and works incidental thereto in Chennai Airport be prohibited keeping in view
the provision of Section - 10 of the Contract Labour (Regulation and abolition) Act, 1970.
(3) The report of Committee must be Submitted within 01 Month time Positively as the case is related to
contempt and board is duty bound to decide it within the stipulated time as directed by the Hon'ble High
Court Chennai in the above-mentioned writ petitions.
(4) The Head quarter of Committee will be at Chennai.
