The Ministry of Finance (Department of Economic Affairs), through Notification G.S.R. 860(E) dated 24th November, 2025, issued the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coin on the occasion of Commemoration of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji's 350th Martyrdom Day) Rules, 2025. These rules, made under clauses (d) and (e) of sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Coinage Act, 2011 (11 of 2011), authorize the Central Government to coin a Three Hundred Fifty Rupees denomination coin. This circular coin, with a 44 millimeters diameter and 200 serrations, will be composed of 99.9 per cent pure silver. Its standard weight is 40 Grams, with allowed weight variations between 39.995 grams and 40.005 grams, and a silver content tolerance of 999 parts per 1000 and above. The coin's obverse will feature the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar, "INDIA", the Rupee symbol "₹", and "350". The reverse will depict Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib, the years "1675 - 2025", and the inscription "COMMEMORATION OF SRI GURU TEGH BAHADUR JI'S 350TH MARTYRDOM DAY". Short title and commencement. (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coin on the occasion of Commemoration of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji's 350th Martyrdom Day) Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Denomination of coin. The coin of Three Hundred Fifty Rupees denomination shall be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate the occasion of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji's 350th Martyrdom Day. 3. Dimension and composition of coin. Design. The design of the coin shall be as specified in the First Schedule annexed to these rules. 5. Standard weight and remedy allowed. The standard weight of the coin of denomination referred to in rule 2 to commemorate the occasion of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji's 350th Martyrdom Day and the remedy allowed in making of such coin shall be as specified in the Second Schedule annexed to these rules. THE FIRST SCHEDULE [See rule 4] THREE HUNDRED FIFTY RUPEES OBVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend “सत्यमेव जयते” inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word "भारत" in Devanagari script and on the right periphery with the word "INDIA" in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol "₹" and denominational value "350" in the international numerals below the Lion Capitol. REVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the image of Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib at the centre of the coin. The year “1675 - 2025” in international numerals shall be inscribed below the image. The inscription “श्री गुरु तेग बहादर जी के 350 वें शहीदी दिवस का स्मरणोत्सव” and “गुरु तेग बहादर सिमरिऐ" shall be inscribed in Devanagari script on the upper periphery of the coin. The inscription “COMMEMORATION OF SRI GURU TEGH BAHADUR JI'S 350TH MARTYRDOM DAY" in English shall be depicted on the lower periphery of the coin.
