In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3A of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 (39 of 1987), Hon'ble the Chief Justice of India has nominated Hon'ble Mr. Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari, Judge, Supreme Court of India, as Chairman of the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee, effective from 24th November, 2025. This notification also makes an amendment to Notification No. S.O.115(E) dated 9th February, 2000. Specifically, for serial number (1) and its related entries in the said notification, the following is substituted: "MR. JUSTICE JITENDRA KUMAR MAHESHWARI – CHAIRMAN", Judge, Supreme Court of India. The notification was signed by Bharat Parashar, O.S.D.(in the grade of S.G.), Supreme Court of India, with additional charge of Member Secy.
