NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 23rd June, 2025
S.O. 2791(E).— Whereas, M/s. Neogen Properties Private Limited had proposed under section 3
of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a
Special Economic Zone for Apparel at Thumkunta and Gollapuram Villages, Hindupur Mandal, Anantapur
District, in the State of Andhra Pradesh;
AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in the exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section
(1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, notified an area
of 141.65 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification
Numbers S.O. 966 (E) dated 13th June, 2007 respectively;
AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Neogen Properties Private Limited has now proposed to de-notify the entire
area of 141.65 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone;
AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Andhra Pradesh has given No Objection Certificate to
the proposal vide letter No. 147805/Infra/A3/2016 dated 25th March, 2025. After de-notification, the land
parcel will conform to Land Use Guidelines/master plans of the State Government;
AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone has
recommended the proposal for de-notification of entire area of 141.65 hectares of the Special Economic
Zone;
NOW, THEREFORE, in the exercise of the powers conferred by the first proviso to rule 8 of the
Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except
for things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
