This Public Notice, No. 15/2025-26, issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce) on July 22, 2025, amends ANF-2N (Application form for Export authorization for Restricted Items) specifically for the export authorization of Pharma Grade Sugar. Exercising powers conferred under Paragraph 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade has made two key changes. Firstly, the columns for 'Shipment Details' and 'Foreign Buyer / Consignee Details' in ANF-2N are now 'optional' instead of 'mandatory' at the time of application, allowing exporters to initially fill them as 'any buyer/any port of discharge'. Secondly, exporters are permitted to amend these buyer-wise details after receiving an export order and prior to the actual export. This change, signed by Ajay Bhadoo, Director General of Foreign Trade, aims to streamline the application process for Pharma Grade Sugar export authorizations.
