The Ministry of Finance (Department of Financial Services), vide Notification S.O. 2304(E) dated 23rd May, 2025, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) under File No. 7/11/2018-AC, has appointed Dr. Poonam Gupta, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), to the Board of Directors of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). This appointment is made by the Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Act, 1981 (61 of 1981), in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India. The tenure of appointment is for a period of three years from the date of the notification (May 23, 2025) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
