No. P.15014/8/2023-FR dated 21st September 2023, in exercise of powers under clause (ii) of sub-rule 1 of rule 2.1.3 of the Food Safety and Standards Rules, 2011 (notified vide G.S.R.362(E) dated 5th May 2011), and with the approval of the Central Government, recognised, for eligibility to the post of Food Safety Officer under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (34 of 2006), Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degrees from a recognised university or institution in Food Technology disciplines including Food Engineering, Food Engineering and Technology, Food Processing and Preservation, Food Processing Technology, Food Technology and Management, Food Biotechnology, Food Plant Operations Management, Food Process Engineering and Management, Food Processing, Food Safety and Quality Management, and Process and Food Engineering, as well as disciplines deemed covered under Agricultural Science including Agriculture, Agriculture Engineering, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology, Fisheries, Food Technology, Food Nutrition and Dietetic, and Horticulture; the notification, referencing the principal rules published vide G.S.R.362(E) dated 5th May 2011, is signed by G.
